Craig Small was born into a musical household and knew immediately that music would be his lifelong passion. Throughout junior high and high school, he honed his craft in school bands and quickly emerged as a standout talent. His dedication and skill led him to the prestigious Musicians Institute in Hollywood, California—first as a student, then as an esteemed instructor.
During his time at MI, Craig had the opportunity to collaborate with some of the industry’s most respected musicians, including powerhouse drummer Matt Laug (Alanis Morissette, AC/DC) and the legendary Ray Luzier (David Lee Roth, KoRn). Together, Craig & Ray formed the explosive rock band 9.0, which earned international recognition with their critically acclaimed album Too Far Gone.
Today, Craig continues to share his deep musical knowledge and passion through regular guitar lessons, immersive workshops, and masterclasses. A versatile and sought-after session player, he has contributed to numerous recordings across both North American and Latin music scenes, earning a reputation as a dynamic performer and inspiring educator.
